Patricia Galan
Patricia Galan is an abstract and figurative artist based in Fresno, California.
“I am interested in the way that shapes come together in unexpected ways and form beautifully balanced or quirky asymmetry. Large shapes with small ones; regular, geometric with quirky organic forms. They happen in nature but also in man-made environments. There is beauty in the regular and ordered, as well as the random and chaotic, often a combination of both. This is what I search for in my art.”
Her inspiration often starts with the physical world, such a bird’s view of the landscape, or the placement of objects within a space. In her paintings she uses shape, line, color, value and texture to express her vision of the world or moment in time. She works in acrylics, oil and mixed media.
